Scope of work

If it's steel and it matters, it's ours.

Six ways the shop earns its keep — in the bay or out on your site.

  • Corrals & livestock
  • Hitch & equipment

The standard

Aerospace habits don't switch off.

Most shops weld fast and call it done. This one runs every job through the same process discipline aerospace parts get — because that's the only way the owner knows how to work.

  • CERT.

    ASME-certified welder

Certified work, not claimed work. The paper's real and the bead shows it.

  • ORIGIN

    2+ years of aerospace fabrication

Tolerances measured in thousandths, where weld quality is non-negotiable and every pass gets inspected.

  • ACCESS

    Owner-operated, start to finish

The person quoting your job is the person welding it — and the one standing behind it after.

The operations we get called for most. If yours isn't on the list, call anyway — if it's steel, there's a good chance it's ours.

MOBILE UNIT DISPATCHES FROM ST. GEORGE — REF. ONLY, NOT TO SCALE

How a job runs

No guesswork. No surprise invoices.

Four steps, in the same order, every time. You'll always know where your job stands and what it costs.

  1. Call or text

Describe the problem or the build. Photos of the break help us quote it right the first time.

  2. Straight number

Flat-rate or itemized quote before work starts. The number you hear is the number you pay.

  3. The work

Fit-up, prep, weld — on schedule. If scope changes, you get a call before it does, not after.

  4. Inspected hand-off

Every weld is checked against the standard before it leaves. Then it goes back to work.

The operator

One welder. One standard. No queue.

Red Desert Metal Solutions is run by Andrew Petersen, a welder who spent over two years in precision aerospace fabrication — work where tolerances live in the thousandths and every bead has to earn a sign-off.

He brought that discipline back to Southern Utah and pointed it at the machines this county actually runs on: excavators, trailers, gates, and the structural steel that holds working operations together.

This is a young shop, and that's the advantage. Your job isn't ticket #400 in somebody's queue — it's the job. The person who quotes it welds it, inspects it, and answers for it.

A bad bead doesn't fly.

House rule № 1 — carried over from the aerospace floor.
